About Our Homeschool

Isle Royale Academy is our family-run homeschool. We tailor education to the student, emphasizing mastery, curiosity, and practical skills. Our environment is equal parts books, bench, and backcountry.

Philosophy

• Let the outdoors set the pace and the questions.

Our philosophy extends into practical ambitions: blending technology, construction, and land stewardship. Students take part in coding with Blender and Fusion 360, 3D printing, soldering, and small electronics. They also learn directly from our ongoing home construction project — observing structural design, wiring, HVAC, and plumbing — while exploring forestry, wildlife management, and applying robotics and automation processes to agriculture.
